Homemade Granola


We love making our own healthy food and this recipe is a must-have!!.  Who doesn’t love to eat home made granola with  fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast (or lunch).

Below a quick run down on how to make it:


  • Oats
  • Seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almond-slivers etc)
  • Raisins
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
  • Organic Apple juice
  • Agave Sirup
  • Cinnamon
  • Oven, bowl & baking paper

And now comes the fun part:

Put all the oatmeal (we used 500 grams) in the bowl together with your choice of nuts (we used 250 grams of sunflower, 150 grams of pumpin seeds so thats the real basic version). Take a regular glass and fill 1/3 with EVOO, 1/3 with Agave & 1/3 Organic apple juice. Stir the glas and poor the liquid in the bowl and mix it all together. The seeds needs to be moist but not super wet. Now add a good chunk of cinnamon for extra flavour.

Pre-heat the oven on 200 degrees. Prep the baking paper and spread the mix on the baking paper. We never kept the oven on 200 degrees but every oven is different. Our advice, turn it to 150 degrees, stay close and stir the mix around so it will get crunchy. Once it is nice and crunchy and your room is filled with these awesome scents of cinnamon and crisp seeds, add the raisins for the last minute (not longer because the raisins will burn pretty fast). Take everything out of the oven and let it all cool down. Pick out a cool old jar and there you go…your own HOMEMADE GRANOLA.

P.S. you can add everything you like to personalise this granola think of coconut strips, cranberries, goji berries (not in the oven), mulberries. Everything that will make your day.
