We went for a hike and all those steps ahead of us made us think. Each step forward is small and easy, but when looking at them all at once we felt overwhelmed.
Sometimes we remain & stay in a known mediocre situation -also called ” comfort zone”- because when thinking about alternatives or changes we get overwhelmed. We focused on the destination. The “How to get there?” feels just too big. We may not trust our capability. Daring to start something new when the destination is not tangible scares us.
We learn and practise the “one step at the time approach”. Chunking things down. Bringing the attention to the journey.
We have dreams. And our creative imagination makes us feel alive. But we know how important is to stay present and enjoy every little step on the ride.
Look forward means literally “look ahead” but it also means “excited for something to come”. And that is not only the destination, but every step on your amazing path!
Hiking is great: Today we are L O O K I N G F O R W A R D!
