Our short trip to Hong Kong went by really fast and before we realised it, we were back in Uluwatu. And at the moment we came home, our roomies were there. We were welcomed with open arms and hugs and all the bits and pieces fell together. We are really arriving HOME. We have been living in Holland on our own for about 7 years so at first the idea of having roommates was scary. But it all turns out that sharing our living space with 2 roommates makes it fun and actually makes it feel more like home.
We realised that wherever we go, we bring our head and our heart with us. It really doesn’t matter where you are and where you live as long as you keep these 2 in balance And during this whole journey, we feel that our heart feels home in Bali, in our little house with our 2 roommates. We feel all have ups and downs buy in the end we have a huge amount of fun. The lives we live in the house are separate AND together. We are open and honest and that makes Bali feel like home. So whether you say “home is where the heart is” or the other way around, we know that our heart is home where we are right now.
