Our best friend in Bali will be leaving shortly and to be honest we are completely bummed about it. Even though she will be back in Februari to work with us on this awesome new project we are, she is our best friend out here and we will miss her freakin’ much. So we thought about what to do and we were thinking of going away to escape the busy-party-holiday scene of Uluwatu for a couple of days. At first we thought of heading off to Ubud and practice yoga and wander around. But this amazing thing happened. On our return flight from Singapore the other day we met this funny, inspirational guy. We chatted and laughed the entire flight and he mentioned he works in Tabanan in a Silent Retreat. We were inspired and simultaneously attracted and scared shitless of the idea to be silent for a couple of days. Our heads are already spinning with the conversations that occur in our mind when we are allowed talking, what would it be like if we could not talk?
Back at home we had a look at the website and we decided, it is time. We are ready for this adventure and completely scary experience. For 5 days in total we will be in Tabanan. Meditating, Practicing yoga, write, think and most important not talk. We will be writing posts later on to tell you about our experience but during these 5 days, we do not have or want access to anything that will distract us. Until then we will just be chatting along.
