Sometimes you meet someone that you just do not like. He or she is just not a pleasant person to be around with. Everything they say or do is annoying and avoiding this particular “object” is the name of the game when you encounter them.
Where I normally would just avoid these particular type of people, I recently read a book, of which I don’t know the name anymore, that made me take a new perspective on this species. What it said is that you need these people in your life to grow. In your mind it would be awesome to have only sweet , nice, funny and generally good people around you. But coming across people that you rather avoid can actually be a good thing. You learn from them. Not only to not become just as grumpy or judgmental, but you learn to become more patient. Each person has their own bagage full of experiences, good and bad, and by having these people around you, you learn to be patient and also to accept these people for who they are. Since I got back home, I actually applied this a couple of times and it is enlightening. It helps me to grow as a person, whether that “annoying” person decides to continue on his grumpy and dreadful path or not.
