Today I thought quite a bit about the importance of “inner power”. Let me explain first what this means. When I talk about power, I am not talking about domination or control. Inner power is a short way to define a “state of being”. You are in your power when you feel loving, when you feel confident, when you feel resolutive, when you feel loved, when you feel creative, when you focused on possibilities and not restrictions, when you see opportunities and not problems. When you are in your power you feel safe, grounded and generally pretty content.
I closed last week and have started this week focused on communication & relationships. And I see a clear connection between these three: inner power – communication – relationships.
I realised how important is to speak up and express my needs. However for them to come straight in a constructive way I gotta be in this state of inner power. Feeling safe and grounded by myself. Then my needs are shaped by love and not insecurities or fear. It’s very important to be able to express your needs without being afraid of the outcome. If we want to have strong, loving and stable relationships, it’s crucial to stay in your power.
