Two weeks in Margaret River, Australia and it has been pretty awkward. I felt restless and not completely at ease. It didn’t take me that long to figure out what it was that made me feel so lost. And then it hit me quite instantly. By leaving Bali, I lost my independence. In Bali I had my own little thing going on: my own house, a bike that could bring me wherever I wanted to go, surf spots that I know well and a nice community. And this independence instantly disappeared by stepping on a plane in a 3-hour flight Down Under. In short, I have to start all over again.
Luckily, I am not the sit-around-and-dwell-on-stuff-that-is-not-happening-kind-of-person. So I had another look at my situation and first things first: I need a car. How weird as it may sound but a motorised vehicle will help me get more grounded over here. With the right mindset I started my endeavor to my renewed independence and with success. Please be introduced to this sweet little red gem. We will be having quite some wandering road trips together and all stoked to see what we will encounter.
