You never know when you bump into a challenge. That’s what life is all about, you are exposed to challenges when you least expect it. Like the other day, when I happily drove back from Perth. Just imagine me, happily singing along with The Growlers (which I do all the time) and all of a sudden there is a shriek and I am forced to pull my car over to the side of the road while it is 38 degrees outside.
At first I was bummed out. “Seriously, is this really happening”, “There go my savings” are just 2 out of a million thoughts that crossed my mind. Once I called the towing-company and heard the quote, my thoughts were almost booking a flight back home. While chatting to my sister though, I came to realize that the situation is just what it is. My car broke down, I have to pay for it and let’s not look too far ahead. It literally is just what it is. You could say that I embraced the challenge and started to smile and just enjoyed the view from the road. Then suddenly a stranger popped up, he had a look and fixed it just in time so I could call off the tow-truck. A stranger saved me 440 dollars and was a true gift from heaven. I don’t believe in coincidences, this was just meant to me. It was my lesson in taking everything that crosses my road as they are. There is no need to stress, because that will only eat up negative energy. Embrace your challenges and you will figure out that most of them are manageable and far more enjoyable if you take them with a smile.
